The Telecom Upheaval swept across the land, and many small spirits were lost to the storm. Europtics did not fall in battle... it simply faded, its knowledge carried like embers on the wind.
Far to the East, two mighty powers stirred.
NTT — the Sage of Equations, master of the language of light.
FURUKAWA — the Smith of the Dawn, forger of lenses, fibres, and the future itself.
They gathered the drifting remnants, absorbing forgotten sparks and weaving them into their own dominions.
